Snoqualmie Pass Fire and Rescue Announces Inter-local Agreement Chris Caviezel 425-434-0899 “The Snoqualmie Pass Fire Department and the Snoqualmie Pass Community wish to convey our sincere thanks and appreciation to Snoqualmie Valley Hospital for embracing the Snoqualmie Pass Community as part of their Community Outreach Program”, stated Chris Caviezel, Fire District Commissioner. “It was an honor and a pleasure to host their recent monthly board meeting.” Highlighting the meeting was approval of a new inter-local agreement between Snoqualmie Valley Hospital and Snoqualmie Pass Fire and Rescue. “We appreciated the time and the effort that was spent by King County Hospital District 4’s Board and Staff and their desire to learn about our operations,” continued Caviezel. “We are excited about the inter-local agreement that Hospital District 4 approved at their board meeting.” The agreement recognizes the need of the Fire District for certain equipment which it currently lacks. Under the agreement the Hospital District will purchase approximately $20,000 worth of equipment which will be housed on the Fire District’s aid vehicles or used for training. Some of this equipment includes: Blanket Heater Unit for Aid Car, Doppler Stethoscope, Digital Thermometer, MCI ICS kit, Over the Bank Kit, CPR Mannequin, GPS Unit, Snowmobile Patient Sled, Rescue Randy Practice Dummy, and a Moulage Kit.” “It is very apparent by our community members, and even a few people that came from neighboring communities that Snoqualmie Valley Hospital has a genuine interest and concern about serving its patients and community members,” stated Caviezel. “This is a very refreshing concept and we look forward to what the future holds for us and working closely with Hospital District 4.” As part of a multi-county community, Snoqualmie Pass residents and visitors are in a unique position to make certain choices about their health care. From an emergency medical services stand point, and a result of patient choice and desire, 100% of all Advanced Life Support patients and 98% of all Basic Life Support patients are transported west. |
